In a speech announcing the start of the US war on Iran, Donald Trump spoke of “courageous American heroes,” some of whom, he warned, “may be lost” in the coming fight. But, Trump assured his listeners, “we’re doing this, not for now, we’re doing this for the future, and it is a noble mission.”
Now a report has emerged that Trump hid in an airport catering container last month because he was scared of an Iranian security threat.
According to the New York Times and Washington Post, the heroic decision to hide in a lorry that normally carries aeroplane food took place after a Nato summit in Ankara.

Trump had arrived in Turkey for the summit, on a jet given to him as a gift by the Qatari government. His flight home was scheduled to be aboard a second plane, the old Air Force One. But he only pretended to board that plane, walking up the stairs and waving to the crowd.
That’s when he made his clandestine move, secretly slipping out of that plane and making a heroic dash in a catering truck to a different, third plane, which eventually carried him to safety.
It later emerged that Trump’s daring decision to hide in a truck full of readymeals was in response to an Iranian assassination threat – Turkey has a land border with Iran.
