The Trump family’s determination to separate gullible true believers from their hard-earned dollars shows no sign of letting up.

First lady Melania Trump is the latest to cash in, having launched a Christmas 2025 star-shaped tree decoration on her website. The festive bauble costs $90, the equivalent of around £67.

Yet the grift does not stop there. Mrs Trump’s site points out that the “American star” is just part of a Christmas decoration collection that also includes gaudy gold depictions of the Empire State Building and Mount Rushmore (alas, still yet to bear the face of her husband).

Buying the lot will cost you $465 (around £350), which a Trump fan on the US federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour would have to work for over 64 hours to afford.
