The BBC is having a torrid time of covering big music events at the moment, what with the demand that heads must roll over their airing of Bob Vylan and their anti-Israeli chants at Glastonbury. But another bodge job, with happily less serious consequences, has left one or two red faces.

“One purported running order suggested the band would open with Hello and finish with Champagne Supernova, with other highlights including Acquiesce, Roll With It, Live Forever and Supersonic,” it reported, linking to a supposed “leaked” image of the set list posted to Reddit.
The only problem was the picture was a spoof which has been doing the rounds on social media for at least four months – unless the BBC really does think the Gallagher brothers had planned to “pause for fight” and would be doing a cover version of a 2005 novelty hit by Crazy Frog. Which would, admittedly, be no worse than anything off Be Here Now.
