Rats in a Sack isn’t suggesting Reform is prone to hysterics but when the party’s backer and putative parliamentary candidate Charlie Mullins was asked on X to qualify his assertion that giving London Mayor Sadiq Khan a knighthood was “the worst decision I’ve ever seen in the honours system”, the Pimlico Plumbers founder was unequivocal.

“Worse than Jimmy Savile?” one follower asked.
