“Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country,” wrote Donald Trump on Truth Social this week in what was, even for him, a particularly deranged post.
“Mark is Tough, Strong, and Brilliant, hence the nickname, “THE GREAT ONE,” conceived by our MAGA friend, the wonderful Sean Hannity, after years of dealing with Mark in Legal, Media, and other capacities.”
Trump was defending Levin, a rampantly pro-war broadcaster who has been engaged in a battle of words with the likes of Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson, who are less enthusiastic about a US president once again devoting time and money to turning the Middle East into a car park.
The row hit an absolute nadir at the weekend when Levin, a long-time Iran hawk, took to X to hit out at the latest comments by Kelly, a former Fox News host turned podcaster who has said she was splitting with the Trump administration over its war in Iran. “Poor Megyn Kelly,” he wrote. “An emotionally unhinged, lewd, and petulant wreck. She’s completely revealed and destroyed herself.
“She’s everything people say she is, but much worse. Never an intelligent, thoughtful, or substantive comment. Utterly toxic.”
Kelly, who is 55 years old, responded: “Micropenis Mark Levin thinks he has the monopoly on lewd. He tweets about me obsessively in the crudest, nastiest terms possible. Literally more than some stalkers I’ve had arrested. He doesn’t like it when women like me fight back. Bc of his micropenis.”
Which caused Levin – who is 68 – to write: “Busy Sunday morning for Megyn Kelly. She wakes up and has ‘micrope*is’ on her mind. Suffice to say, if it talks like a harlot, and posts like a harlot, it’s… well, you know the rest. Shalom!”.
Quite why this was the final straw which caused Trump to weigh in behind Levin is unclear, but perhaps the awkward to and fro-ing over a “micropenis” hit hard. In her 2018 tell-all memoir, the adult actress Stormy Daniels wrote how, er, Trump Tower was “smaller than average” and “like the mushroom character in Mario Kart”. Was Trump triggered?
