Failure pays off for Tory campaign guru Levido

He may have presided over the most disastrous Tory general election campaign in history a year ago, but at least Isaac Levido appears to have been well compensated for it. Trading accounts just revealed that the Australian political strategist has returned a £1m profit at Sancrox Political Advisory, the private firm into which he channels his earnings from running election campaigns.

The figures filed at Companies House disclose £1.5m in assets before bills as of January 31 this year. Levido set up the company in 2023 and owns around 31% via Congewai Investments, another of his private firms. He also has a one third share of the £3.3m held in PR firm Fleetwood Strategy.

Sancrox’s website boasts of the elections results Levido has secured for his clients, saying “Our successes include the UK Conservative Party’s landslide victory in 2019, the Australian Liberal Party’s ‘miracle’ victory in the same year, and the New Zealand National Party’s historic return to government in 2023.” Space, alas, prevents it from recording how he also led Rishi Sunak’s Conservatives to the worst result in its history last year.

Why are right wing commentators so keen on civil war?

A large number of right wing hacks appear to be not just predicting but actually willing a bloody uprising in Britain
