Embattled Farage heads for a land down under

Facing racism allegations, claims of electoral overspend and errant councillors, the Reform leader is off to attend England’s catastrophic Ashes campaign

Revelations about Reform and its leader continue to flow. Richard Everett,
a former Reform councillor and member of Nigel Farage’s campaign team in
Clacton, has submitted documents to the rozzers that he claims show the party came within £400 of the legal spending limit of £20,660, but says that figure excludes some costs, including leaflets, banners, utility bills and the refurbishment of a blue and teal Reform- themed bar in the campaign office.

A Reform spokesman dismissed Everett as a “disgruntled former councillor” of which, alas for Farage, there are an increasing number. Staffordshire Council leader Ian Cooper has been removed from the party after being accused of racist comments on social media.

No wonder Farage wants to get away from it all. At the weekend he was spotted in Abu Dhabi as Lando Norris won the Formula 1 world title. And now, as if England’s catastrophic Ashes campaign in Australia hasn’t been
enough of a shitshow, it has emerged the Reform leader is forgoing Christmas in Clacton for a trip down under – he is planning to attend the Boxing Day Test match in Melbourne.

The Mail’s stunning Starmer scoop doesn’t Czech out

Stung by criticism of Nigel Farage’s schoolboy racism, the paper delved into the PM’s own youth – and found very little
