Reform councillors elected just last year continue to drop like flies – and the 44th one they have shed is Paul Cutts, a member of Doncaster city council.
Cutts has been suspended by the party over a number of posts he had shared on Facebook, including one calling for a boycott of Muslim-owned businesses.
Cutts, who represents Wheatley Hills and Intake on the council, has deleted four posts from his Facebook page, three of which targeted Muslims, while a fourth featured a video of people in a UK supermarket wearing Islamic dress and of Middle Eastern or South Asian ethnicity, with a caption saying: “England shouldn’t look like this.”
A Reform UK Doncaster spokesperson told the Doncaster Free Press that: “Reform UK Doncaster is aware of social media posts attributed to Councillor Paul Cutts that have been brought to our attention.
“Reform UK does not support or condone content that targets or disparages individuals or communities on the basis of race or religion. Such content is not consistent with the standards expected of Reform UK representatives.

“In light of these concerns, Councillor Paul Cutts has been suspended from the Reform UK group pending a formal investigation. This suspension allows the matter to be examined fully and fairly.
“As this is an ongoing matter, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
If only there had been a way of knowing Cutts had some dodgy views ahead of his election! Except there was – campaign group Hope Not Hate revealed back in April that he had voiced Islamophobic conspiracy theories that the religion plans to “out Breed us, And take Over [sic]”.
He had called violent football lout Stephen Lennon, who likes to be known as Tommy Robinson, “A PATRIOT”, and called on his followers to attend a demonstration in October 2024. Elsewhere he posted in favour of Andrew Tate, the misogynist influencer.
And he’s hardly alone within the Reformers in Doncaster. A fellow councillor, Mark Broadhurst, was expelled from Reform within less than a month of being elected after his Facebook page shared an image suggesting Adolf Hitler would have been a “legend” if he had targeted Muslims rather than Jews.
Meanwhile, another councillor, Isaiah-John Smith Reasbeck, continues to represent Reform despite being investigated for posting on X that “Bradford has one of the biggest Muslim populations in Europe it’s also one of the biggest shitholes in Europe draw your own conclusions”. Reform apparently accepted Reasbeck’s defence that he was only 18 at the time he posted the comment. Those vetting procedures Nigel Farage boasts about all seem to be going very well, don’t they?
