Sir Jim Ratcliffe is right about immigrant colonisers like himself

When Man United’s co-owner talks about being "colonised by immigrants”, does he mean Monaco?

I am sorry to have to admit it but Sir Jim Ratcliffe is right. His country has been “colonised by immigrants”, they have flooded the country and make virtually no contribution to its society.

But enough about Monaco, where Sir Jim has been living for years now as an immigrant. Where he moved to save billions in tax, and which like so much of the population there he uses as a public convenience.

He is the walking advert for my plan to strip honours off anyone who leaves the UK for tax purposes. He is also an advert for the kind of people who supported Leave and presumably still support Reform.

Ratcliffe told Sky News: “You can’t have an economy with 9 million people on benefits and huge levels of immigrants coming in. The UK is being colonised by immigrants, really, isn’t it?

“I mean, the population of the UK was 58 million in 2020, now it’s 70 million. That’s 12 million people.”

His figures are totally wrong. In 2020, the population of the UK was 67 million. He is miles out, and he doesn’t care.

Ratcliffe also worries that too many people are on benefits, forgetting that most of them are in work, rather like the head of Tesco who complained about the same thing recently. The answer is obviously to introduce a living wage, not a minimum wage, then cut all benefits for those in work.

How do you feel about that, Sir Jim? No, I didn’t think so.

Sir Jim is obviously a proud citizen of Monaco and if he could limit himself to criticising its economic model, lazy citizens and law and order problems – oh, and of course the flood of immigrants that have changed its society beyond recognition and colonised it in a few short years – we might want to listen.

In fact, now we know what he really thinks, maybe it is time to look at the law that allows such tax refugees to visit the UK so often and for so long. He obviously doesn’t want or need to be here.

I am sure there is a bar somewhere in Monaco that shows Man United matches on a big screen. If there isn’t, with £17 billion in his bank account, tax free, I am sure he can afford to set one up.
